A is for Adventure

Lately, I’ve been thinking about what I want this blog to be, what theme I want it to encompass.

As I’ve come to be a more consistent blogger over the past year, I’ve realized that I most enjoy blogging about two topics: writing and traveling.

The more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized that writing and traveling are very connected. Both allow you to explore new worlds and adventures. Both entail a combined process of research and spontaneity in their exploration. Both like to surprise you.

One of my favorite most recent adventures to Ka’ena Point in Hawaii.

It hit me that “adventure” is the perfect way to sum up the heart of this blog, and what I want it to be about. Appropriately, it also works at the theme of this challenge. Whether my adventures are earthbound or literary, I want to share them with you, and offer up what I’ve learned along the way.

So today I’m embarking on another adventure and starting the A-Z Blogging Challenge. I’ll be posting almost every day (except Sundays) this month according to a letter of the alphabet, resulting in 26 alphabetically-themed blogs. For the most part, I’ll be talking about writing, but a few travel blogs will find their way in, possibly along with a few free writes.

Today, A is for Adventure, and adventure can lead you anywhere. I hope you’ll come along for the ride!

This post is part of the A-Z Blog Challenge, a month of alphabetical blogging. Learn more about the A-Z Challenge, or check out all my A-Z posts.
